Having worked in Management & Information Systems for a major oil/gas firm for more than 20 years, Mrs. Duperval has a diverse computing background which includes, among other things, computer training development and course instruction; technical documentation development (risk assessment, document retention, procedures, etc.); custom database development, instruction, and implementation; computer needs assessment; website development and publishing (internet and intranet), etc.
Her comprehensive organizing experience as evidenced through her affiliation with several national organizations based in the United States, is well known in the grass-roots community. She successfully partnered with a local television station in Houston, Texas, doing a three-day series on Haitian refugees who were transferred to prisons in Texas from Florida due to a lack of housing at the immigration holding center in the Miami area. As a result of this work, Haitian refugees were released to sponsors.
She served as part of a four-person team that made presentations before two Sub-Committees of the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland regarding human rights.
Mrs. Duperval also sits on the board of several other humanitarian non-profit organizations.
